My parents have always told me that life comes full circle, I cannot think of anything truer than that today. As I spin around the axis there is an equal and opposite force that pulls me back to center, eventually evening out to a steady orbit around my core beliefs, family, philosophy, and design theories. In 2007, I was shot into the unknown to study fashion design at Parsons the New School for Design in New York City, up until that point I had been to NYC twice in my life, so to say I was intimidated is an understatement. Luckily, I began to make friends, meet professors that pushed me creatively and found my own voice as a designer. In 2011, I graduated from Parsons winning Womenswear Designer of the Year for a collection that was a critique on the fast-paced nature of the fashion industry and how handcraft, emotion, and individuality had been wiped clean from the slate of most wardrobes. After working seven years in the NYC luxury fashion industry I am ready to bring my expertise back to my hometown of Unionville Pennsylvania.
